Short answer

Nordlys was losing two in three customers mid-booking. We rebuilt the flow from five steps to three, moved pricing to the first screen and dropped the account requirement. Completed bookings rose 34 percent in nine weeks, with no change to marketing spend.

The challenge

The booking flow had been built in stages by three different vendors. Price appeared only at step four, an account was required before availability was visible, and mobile was an afterthought. Analytics showed 63 percent of users abandoning between steps two and three.

How we did it

  1. 01Session recordings and drop-off analysis before a line of code was written
  2. 02Three alternative flows prototyped in four days and tested with real customers
  3. 03Rebuilt in Next.js with pricing visible on the first screen
  4. 04Accounts became optional — guests book first and register afterwards
