Common questions
- What should I put in a first email?
- What you want to build, when it needs to be finished, and roughly what budget you have in mind. Three sentences is enough. If any of that is unclear, that is exactly what the first call is for.
- How quickly will I hear back?
- Within a day, always from a human. If the answer is that we are the wrong studio for the work, we say so in that first reply, along with a suggestion of who fits better.
- Does the first call cost anything?
- No. Thirty minutes where you describe what you want to build and we tell you what we think of it. You get our honest read even when the conclusion is that you do not need us.
- Do I need a finished spec before we talk?
- No. An idea and a problem is enough. Framing the problem so it can be built against is part of the work, and often the part that decides whether the rest turns out well.
- What happens after the call?
- You get a written proposal within three days with a fixed price, a timeline and a bounded scope. Then you decide at your own pace. We follow up only if you ask us to.
- How far ahead can I book?
- The studio takes one larger build at a time, so a start date is set in the proposal based on what is free. If you need to start immediately we will say plainly whether that works or whether you should ask someone else.
